With the arrival of Elden Ring imminent, many fans are already excited for its launch and reviews from media outlets are already out. Something interesting happened though in OpenCritic and it seems the game totally deserves it.

Several media outlets right now are already giving high praises to the upcoming game after reviewing it early. These media outlets are quite high profile as well like IGN, Game Informer, VGC, GameSpot, and even our resident game reviewer gave it a close perfect score. The previous reviewers on this list though, they all gave the game a perfect 10.

With over 90 reviews in so far…

Elden Ring is currently the #1 highest-rated game of all time on OpenCritic

A lot of media outlets are so impressed with the game that OpenCritic has now made a big announcement of a new change. Elden Ring is now the highest-rated game of all time on their site. Almost all 100 reviews got a total average of 97, which meant almost all players who tried out the game had the same impression.

Elden Ring now sits on the comfy number one spot followed by Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which sits on ranks 2 and 3.

This is a rare occurrence for almost all reviewers to have the same impression of the game. We could be seeing a big contender for the Game of the Year award for this year.

Elden Ring will launch on February 25, 2022. It will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
