The Water Well is a structure in Enshrouded where water can be drawn out from. It is recommended to unlock the Water Well as soon as possible in order to sustain farm bases and just have enough water to have a stamina boost. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to unlock the Well in Enshrouded.

Complete the Finding Masonry Tools quest

In order to craft the Water Well in Enshrouded, you must first complete the Finding Masonry Tools quest given by the Carpenter. Upon obtaining the Masonry Tools, place it down in the base and the recipe for the Water Well will be unlocked.

    Crafting the Water Well

    Enshrouded Crafting the Water Well

The Water Well can be crafted using the following materials:

    • x20 Linen
    • x100 Stone
    • x1 Wooden Bucket

More than one Water Well can be crafted and placed on a base, and having two wells will usually be enough for the base’s needs.

How to use the Water Well?

How to use the Water Well in Enshrouded

Water can be drawn from the Water Well by interacting with it. The well near the starting area of the game will allow you to draw around 3 to 5 jugs of Water, after which it will need to recharge for some amount of time; the same goes with Water Wells crafted and placed in a base.

How to get unlimited water from the Water Well?

There has been an exploit discovered by players that allows drawing unlimited water from the Water Wells without having to wait for a long time for the well to recharge. One effective trick is to empty out a placed Water Well, pick up the well and then place it back down again. This will reset the well and allow you to draw another 3 jugs of Water. This same exploit works with the Improved Water Well which will allow you to draw 5 jugs of Water each time.

Since this is not the intended design of the Water Wells, there is a huge chance that this will be patched out in an update. Players have also been sharing their suggestions on how to rework the wells to make getting water easier and more efficient.
