Final Fantasy V and VI PC Versions to be Pulled Out from Steam Next Month

Valve will be pulling out Final Fantasy V and VI PC versions on Steam soon.

After the announcement from Square Enix that there will be the Pixel Remaster series of Final Fantasy titles, Valve will be removing the original versions of two FF titles. FFV and FFVI will not be available for purchase after July 27, 2021. It will be replaced by the Pixel Remaster of the game. (only available in certain countries)

There is a note on the product pages of both titles. Note that FFV Steam page also has the same note on the FFVI page for some reason.

This game will no longer be available for purchase after July 27, 2021. Instead, please purchase the pixelated remaster version of “Final Fantasy VI,” coming soon.

Final Fantasy V and VI will be included in the six games that will get the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster treatment. It will be available sometime in July 2021.
