One of the features that make Final Fantasy XIV so special for fans and newcomers is the Job System. It offers various types of jobs that come from the traditional Final Fantasy games like the Black and White mage, Warrior, Monk, Samurai, Archer, and more.

Many monsters and evildoers roam the land of Eorzea with the sole purpose of wiping out the human race. Primitive godlike creatures like Primals and the dictatorial Garlean Empire’s powerful Magitek war machines are just two of the threats to the world. It is in your best interest to save Eorzea in the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion.

In order to wage war against the Garlean Empire and the Primals, you must first select a weapon and an appropriate job. FFXIV has a variety of jobs, each with a distinct function to play in a battle. Choosing a first adventure job can be a daunting task for those who have never taken on such an endeavor before.

This guide is a list of all jobs in FFXIV: Endwalker, and a brief explanation about what makes each one unique. But first, let us understand what jobs are.

What are Jobs in Final Fantasy XIV?

After selecting a race, you can choose a character’s starting class. Classes provide basic starting abilities. A class becomes a job when you equip a Soul Crystal and play the appropriate class.

Classes teach you how to employ a job’s skills and combination rotations. After reaching Level 30 in a class, you can access their associated jobs and advanced skills. And some jobs can be unlocked later by simply leveling up any class.

Final Fantasy XIV jobs are great since you can switch between them. As long as you have a class or job unlocked and the required weapon in your inventory, you can freely switch between them. A new job doesn’t necessitate the creation of new characters.

Final Fantasy XIV’s jobs are broken down into three categories:

    • Tank
    • Healer
    • Damage-dealing support (DPS)

There are many roles that each party member must take on so that Eorzea doesn’t face imminent destruction. For jobs that don’t quite fit into the Tank, Healer, or DPS categories due to their particular gameplay mechanics and characteristics, a fourth role called “Limited” is available.

Here is the complete list of Final Fantasy XIV Job Actions that players can use in the game.

What jobs are there in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker?
