Square Enix has recently revealed some interesting detail about the unveiling of the Final Fantasy XVI release date.
Final Fantasy XVI Game Director Hiroshi Takai and Producer Yoshi-P have recently spoken to the Japanese game magazine Famitsu (translated by ResetEra) discussing the development status of the game. Takai was first to share that the game is already 95 percent complete and that the team is now playing the game day by day. They are now just tweaking rough parts, and mending issues along the way. Yoshi-P reveals that the programmers are currently checking and making changes to the code to fix bugs. Since the game is quite large, debugging will take longer than expected.
Yoshi-P also shared details about the release date of the game. He said that they are planning to release new information again later this year. This could possibly mean the release date could be announced before the year will end so later this month or December. The most likely announcement with the most impact would be the coming The Game Awards 2022.
Final Fantasy XVI will be released sometime in 2023 exclusively on PS5.
