The Genshin Impact Update 2.6 special program has recently concluded and has shared the latest details on the upcoming new content including its official release date and more.
Genshin Impact Update 2.6: When Will Update 2.6 Arrive?
According to the recent special program, update version 2.6 Zephyr of the Violet Garden will launch on March 30, 2022 and it will be available for all platforms. It will introduce the new character Kamisato Ayato as the new playable character and add a new area to explore.
What are the New Banners to Check Out on Update 2.6?
Three banners will be available when update 2.6 hits all platforms. The first phase will include Ayato and Venti and the second phase surprisingly will only be Ayaka.
Ayato’s English voice actor is Chris Hackney (Athrun Zala Gundam Seed), and the Japanese voice actor is Akira Ishida (Athrun Zala Gundam Seed).
Kamisato Art: Kyoka is Ayato’s Elemental Skill and can create illusions made of water. It can deal AOE damage on enemies nearby. His elemental burst is Kamisato Art: Suiyuu, which makes blades of water rain throughout the battlefield and also boosting companions in the process.
Who is the Other Character Featured in Phase 1 Banner for Update 2.6?
Together with Ayato is Venti, a five-star Anemo archer. He was first featured in his own banner way back in September 2020. His banner also had a rerun in March 2021.
Who is the Featured Character in Phase 2 Banner for Genshin Impact Update 2.6?
Kamisato Ayaka, Ayato’s little sister, is the character featured in the Phase 2 banner. She is a five-star Cryo swordswoman and this is her first rerun banner. She was first introduced in July 2021 when Inazuma debuted in the game.
Genshin Impact Weapon Banner for Update 2.6
The banner for weapons will feature the five-star sword Haran Geppaku Futsu. It seems it will be a weapon with Hydro element in it.
Genshin Impact New Artifact Sets for Update 2.6
There are two new artifacts to grind in update 2.6 and that includes the five star sets Echoes of an Offering and Vermillion Hereafter. Both artifacts will offer Atk + 18 percent for two piece sets. For the prior with a four piece set, it will make normal attacks have a 36 percent chance of triggering Valley Rite. This will increase Normal Attack DMG by 70 percent of Atk. The effect will be dispelled after 0.5s after a Normal Attack deals DMG. Failing to trigger Valley Rite will increase the chances of it triggering by 20 percent. The trigger can happen once every 0.2s.
The Vermillion Hearafter will make a character that uses Elemental Burst gain the Nascent Light effect, which increases Atk by 8 percent for 16s. If the HP of the character decreases, the Atk will increase further by 10 percent and this can happen by a maximum of 4 times only. The effect can be triggered every 0.8s. Players who will leave the field will dispel the Nascent Light. This will not stack as another Nascent Light gets triggered, the original one will be dispelled.
What is the Chasm in Genshin Impact 2.6?
Another content that will be added to Genshin Impact in update 2.6 is the new area called The Chasm. It will include underground areas with glowing jellyfish floating around, new enemies to encounter and defeat, and environmental puzzles to solve.
This area has various types of locations to discover like an underground lake, an old building that looks like a temple, and more. It seems the mysterious Dainsleif will also be part of the storyline that this location is related to.
Players will need the Lumenstone Adjuvant in order to properly explore this area. Expect a new special name card as a reward, and new Domains to explore.
Why is Dainsleif Involved in the next Archon Quest?
Dainsleif will be meeting up the protagonist in this new Archon quest, which will focus on the mysterious surrounding the twins (protagonist and main villain). This will be set in The Chasm.
Genshin Impact is now available on PS4, PS5, PC, Androind, and iOS. Update 2.6 launches on March 30, 2022.
