Sony has recently revealed the Gran Turismo movie with a new trailer.
The latest trailer was shown on Sony’s CES showcase just recently. It officially confirmed the live-action film and it is planned to show in theaters on August 11, 2023.
The trailer also revealed three major characters that will be featured in this upcoming film. These are Jann Mardenborough (Archie Madekwe), Danny Moore (Orlando Bloom), and Jack Salter (David Harbour). The film is based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player who wished to become an actual professional racecar driver but also won a lot of Nissan competitions to get there. This was based on the GT Academy contest which ran between 2008 and 2016.
The Gran Turismo movie is directed by Neill Blomkamp, screenplay written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. It is produced by Doug Belgrad, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Dana Brunetti. The Executive Producers are Kazunori Yamauchi, Herman Hulst, Jason Hall, and Matthew Hirsch.
