343 Industries Chris Lee, a director for upcoming video game Halo Infinite, has announced his departure from the game.
In a new report from Bloomberg, Lee has announced that he has left the project after his role with it was said to be finished already. He was also one of the primary producers of the Halo series and was also the studio head of 343 Industries. He has been with the company since 2008, but it seems he is still an employee of Microsoft.
Lee stated:
I have stepped back from Infinite and I am looking at future opportunities. I believe in the team and am confident they will deliver a great game and now is a good time for me to step away.
This new announcement has shocked the fans of the Halo series since Lee was one of the prominent figures. Now that he is gone, it seems to indicate that there are problems happening internally at 343 Industries. We do not know what these are, but the sudden departure of such high-ranking individuals is making everyone nervous. Will Infinite still be released? Hopefully so.
Halo Infinite will launch next year for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
