Sony Interactive Entertainment is pushing to get more PlayStation exclusives to get adapted into films and TV shows. During Sony’s CES 2025 press conference, the Head of PlayStation Productions, Asad Qizilbash, shared that both Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn and Arrowhead Studios’ Helldivers 2 are getting adapted into films.
“I’m excited to announce we are working with Sony Pictures on developing a film adaptation of our amazingly popular PlayStation game Helldivers 2,” said Qizilbash at the CES 2025 press conference. He also add that the Horizon: Zero Dawn film is currently in early developments with Columbia Pictures and PlayStation Productions.
It is exciting to see some of these beloved games are getting film adaptations with great involvement of the game studios to help directors and producers. The success of recent video game-based movies and series such as The Last of Us, Sonic the Hedgehog, Fallout, Mortal Kombat, Arcane, and a few more shows the importance of having the people who made the games give critical feedback.
