How to Beat Gorimondo in Kirby and the Forgotten Land
To Beat Gorimondo in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, you have to win against Gorimondo’s fights which happens in two phases. He goes into his second phase once his health bar reaches <40%.
How to beat Gorimondo Phase 1
Gorimondo will alternate between his stomps and his arm swings.
- Foot Stomp – Gorimondo will raise one of his legs to stomp it to the ground, releasing a shockwave ring. He can do this a couple of times with either of his feet, and he can also chain it with a Jump Stomp. Time your jumps to avoid the shockwaves.
- Boulder Throw – He will bury his hand into the ground and grab a boulder to throw at your direction. He can do this twice in a row. Just simply run sideways around him to avoid getting hit.
- Arm Swing – He will wind his hand backwards and then swing it forwards. As soon as you see his hand raised up behind him, jump and hover to avoid the swing.
- Grab – He will raise his hand in from while moving his fingers, then swings it down to grab you. Similar to the arm swings, jump and hover to avoid getting grabbed and do not be under his grabbing hand.
How to beat Gorimondo Phase 2
Gorimondo will do the same attacks from phase 1 with one additional attack.
- Tornado – He will twist his body to wind up and then spin himself like a tornado. He will move around to chase you, but he’s not fast enough to catch up. Just move towards the edge of the edge of the map as you move around him.
Optional Missions for The Brawl at the Mall stage

- Defeat Gorimondo with the Sword ability
- Clear within 2:00
- Clear without taking any damage
Gorimondo Boss Fight Tips
- When using the Sword ability, it is recommended to just do jumping spin attacks at his face rather than being between his legs. You can also get hurt by his normal steps if you are close enough to his legs.
- It is possible to complete all of the optional missions in one run.
- You can also choose the Ice ability to tank through the shockwaves. It is possible to freeze Gorimondo to deal massive damage, but it is safe to do it in several attempts rather than doing a continuous breath of ice to avoid getting hit by his attacks.
- It is much safer to slip past his legs right after he does his stomp or his jump.
- You can bring along a second player to play as Bandana Waddle Dee to help deal damage to him.
