Cooking in Disney Dreamlight Valley gives you a variety of ways to prepare tasty treats for your favorite Disney characters. There are a few steps involved, and it can be confusing for beginners. However, among all the enjoyable things you can do in-game, cooking is probably the best and most important one.

As such, we’ll walk you through the steps of making wonderful meals in Disney’s Dreamlight Valley, as well as the requirements you’ll need to fulfill before you begin.

How to Cook in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Cooking is an important mechanic in the game, since it is utilized to make food that replenish your stamina as you go out on your adventures. Your stamina is gradually depleted with every action you take in the game; while eating ingredients can help, meals provide a far more substantial boost.

In any case, you’ll need a Stove, just like in the real world, before you can begin making dishes. As soon as you get your hands on one, you’ll be free to experiment in various recipes to your liking.

How to Get a Stove

There are different methods to access and get yourself a stove, which are as follows:

  1. Finish the Foodception Quest from Mickey Mouse. This will reward you a Stove.
  2. Repair Scrooge McDuck’s Shop. Doing so will give you access to his store or catalog, in which you can purchase a stove.
  3. Craft a Stove in using the Crafting Table.

With either approach, you’ll have a stove that you can put to use. Place it in a convenient location using the House Customization Options, and you’re good to go.

Now that the Stove is set up, all you need are the ingredients. It’s a good idea to farm some of the crops you’ve planted in your garden and throughout the valley. To further save some of your time, you can grow your crops by creating a garden space close to your home.

There are shops run by Remy and Goofy where you can buy ingredients as well, and if you’re in a hurry you can search for wild ingredients in each zone of the map.

Keeping track of what you need for a recipe is a breeze with the game’s Recipe tab. Additionally, unlocking Remy’s cooking world will also make cooking much less of a hassle. You’ll have to master the art of making ratatouille, abd the character Remy will become available to you at this point.

Make your Dish

With all the Necessary Ingredients in place, you can now start cooking. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Go to your stove and interact with it.
  2. To pick a recipe that suits your liking, select the Recipes tab in the top left corner of the screen, or;
  3. Select and drag ingredients one at a time from the menu and drop them into the pot.
  4. Lastly, Press “Start Cooking” and you’re done.

You will get the Meals in your inventory immediately after. If your bag is already full, you’ll need to make room for Cooking by discarding an item on the floor.
