Using the Sled in Sons of the Forest can be some of the most fun ways to traverse this survival game. You can go pretty fast using this tool and it’s useful in a lot of areas around the map. Learn how to get the sled for yourself so you can use it whenever the mood strikes you.

So how do you get the Sled in Sons of the Forest? And how do you use it?

How to get the Sled in Sons of the Forest?

You can get the Sled by crafting it with the 3D printer found in an abandoned bunker on the western side of the island. This will cost about 1,000 printer resin to craft which is done by interacting with the laptop next to the printer.

There are multiple 3D printers in the game, but the easiest one to get to is on the western side of the island. This printer isn’t too far from the starting location and you can get to it without many preparations. There are a total of 3D printers on the island in Sons of the Forest which we have marked below.

Getting the Sled requires 1,000 printer resin which is no small number. You’ll have to gather up some printer resin which can be done by exploring green circle locations around the map. Just follow your GPS.

Once you have enough printer resin, interact with the laptop next to the 3D printer to select what you want to print. You can scroll through the craftable items with the R button. And then press and hold the E button to print the Sled.

It will take a moment for the 3D printer to finish printing the Sled in Sons of the Forest. After it’s done, you can pick it up from the printer and it’ll be added to your inventory.

How to use the Sled in Sons of the Forest?

To use the Sled in Sons of the Forest, interact with your backpack and then select the Sled with the left mouse button to equip it. Once you have it equipped, jump and then press left click to immediately jump on it. This will propel you sliding forward on any slope.

The sled can be very fast, especially on steep slopes. You can control it while it’s sliding but it can be pretty hard to steer depending on the speeds you’re at. Be wary of anything in the way such as trees, rocks, or cliffs that you could fall into and take damage from. If the incline isn’t steep enough or you lose momentum, your character will exit the sled and you’ll have to re-engage with it to keep going.

That’s how to get and use the Sled in Sons of the Forest. We hope this guide was helpful to you in surviving in the forest.
