How to Get Virginia in Sons of the Forest

As fun as Kelvin is to have around, he can be pretty stupid so you may be asking how to get Virginia as a companion in Sons of the Forest. Okay, so she has multiple limbs and is borderline uncanny valley but at least she can use the spare arm to carry extra guns with her. She’s also great to recruit if you don’t want your experience in the island to become a sausage fest.

So how do you get Virginia in Sons of the Forest? And where can you find her in the island?

How to get Virginia as a companion in Sons of the Forest?

You first have to wait until Virginia finds you as she unpredictably roams around the island. Once you see her, put any weapon you have away and wait until she approaches you on her own. Whatever you do, do not approach her as she’ll run away. Instead wait for her to keep approaching you for a few days and she’ll gradually warm up to you to become a companion.

Virginia is easily startled and it’s easy to see why. You can kill her so be careful not to attack her if you’re trying to recruit her as a companion. She’ll slowly get used to you and bring you stuff she found as a sort of peace offering. After a few days, you’ll be able to interact with her and gift her items as well.

If you’re curious to see where Virginia goes, you can give her a GPS Locator which should keep track of her location. You may even give her weapons from your inventory that she’ll use to defend your base from cannibals. Unlike Kelvin, she’s perfectly capable of fighting against hostile forces when armed so she’s great to have around.

How to get Virginia as a friend in Sons of the Forest

Know that you know how to get Virginia your telltale sign that she is comfortable around you is when she starts to sit by your campfire and regularly follow you around at seemingly random times. Unfortunately, there’s no way to give commands to her like Kelvin so she’s a bit of a wild card.

Who is Virginia in Sons of the Forest?

Virginia is the daughter of the billionaire Edward Puffton who disappeared in a remote island before the events of the game. We’re briefed about her and her father at the start before the helicopter crashes into the island.

Missing for about 31 weeks, Virginia has began to mutate due to her time in the forest. Both her mind and her body began to face alterations. However unlike other mutants, Virginia is not hostile despite being shy in approaching you. According to her profile, Virginia is 20 years old and has a love for ballet which is why you can find her stretching around in the forest.

Once you befriend Virginia, take care of her as she can die. Once she perishes, she won’t respawn so always equip her with something to defend herself.

That’s how to get Virginia in Sons of the Forest. We hope you found this guide to be useful.
