LEGO Fortnite: How to Get Copper and make Copper Bars

Copper is one of the harder resources to look for in LEGO Fortnite. Not only does it exist in a different biome away from your spawn area, but it’s also located in a very hostile environment. You have your work cut out for you if you’re looking to get some for yourself. Read ahead as we teach you how to get Copper and make Copper Bars in LEGO Fortnite.

    How to Get Copper

You can get copper from copper ore deposits, which only spawn in the lava caves of the Dry Valley biome. You can find these deposits growing on the walls and ceiling. And the only way to mine them for copper is by using a Rare Pickaxe tool.

Lava caves are one of the most hostile environments in LEGO Fortnite. Not only are there special hostile enemies like the Blasters, but it’s also extremely hot and will drain your health almost immediately unless you take proper precaution. Always ensure that you have charms and consume foods that increase temporary heat resistance before heading in.

Finding lava caves which have Copper Ore deposits is a challenge in itself. The Dry Valley biome is a harsh environment which gets hot during the day and cold during the night. You won’t last long with the proper equipment. You’ll also have to spend some time looking for cave entrances which are random in the world you generated.

Getting the Rare Pickaxe requires that you made several upgrades to your Crafting Bench. Common and Uncommon pickaxes won’t work on Copper Ore deposits.

    How to make Copper Bars

Using Metal Smelter to make Copper Bars

To get Copper Bars, put one Copper and two Brightcores you’ve collected into the Metal Smelter. You can then collect them after they’re done being turned into Copper Bars.

You’ll have to get a Metal Smelter first which requires x15 Brightcores, x35 Obsidian Slab, and x3 Blast Cores to make. You can build it from the Utility tab in the building menu. Once you have the required materials, you can place it anywhere.

    Where to use Coppers Bars

Coppers Bars are used to make several structures and useful tools.

    • Grapplers: Used to reach high places like a grappling hook. Requires x3 Copper Bars to make.
    • Larger Storage Chests: Stores more items than a regular storage chest.
    • Mailboxes: Send items to other players.
    • Oven: Used to cook food like pizza. Requires x15 Copper Bars to make.
