LEGO Fortnite: How to Get Malachite Stone

Malachite Stone is one of the resources you’ll need for Epic-tier tools and equipment in LEGO Fortnite. As you can expect from an end-level resource, it isn’t easy to come by and has a bunch of risks associated with getting it. There are some tedious requirements in order to even get your hands on malachite, so you’d better be prepared.

Read ahead as we teach you how and where to get Malachite in LEGO Fortnite.

How to Get Malachite in LEGO Fortnite

Like Rough Amber, Malachite stones can be found in the Frostlands biome high up in the mountains. They look like green stone deposits that are stuck on walls. And you’ll need to use an Epic Pickaxe in order to mine it.

Climbing the Frostlands biome isn’t for beginners. It’s the coldest place in LEGO Fortnite, and you won’t last long without proper equipment. Make sure to equip the right trinkets and charms or consume food that will give you cold resistance.

Where to get Malachite in LEGO Fortnite

You’ll also need to craft an Epic Pickaxe first using x8 Obsidian Slabs and x5 Frostpine Rods before you can even mine for Malachite.

    • Obsidian Slabs can be refined by throwing Obsidian found inside the lava caves of the Dry Valley biome to the Stone Breaker. Mining for Obsidian can only be done with a Rare Pickaxe.
    • Frostpine Rods can be obtained by cutting down Frostpine trees, which only grows in the frostlands biome. You can only cut down these trees with an Epic Forest Axe.

Of course, getting all of these requires upgrading your Workbench to Epic-tier. There’s a lot of work you need to put in before you can go out for Malachite. Make sure to progress through the game some more if you haven’t met the pre-requisites yet.
