How to Beat Nameless Puppet in Lies of P (True Final Boss)
Aggressive attacks will be the best strategy to beat the Nameless Puppet. Because of its ability to heal itself, leaving it alone to wait for an opening can be a bad idea. A good balance between aggression and well timed blocks is the key to victory.
The Nameless Puppet starts off like any other bosses; however, this one has the ability to heal itself much like you do. The True Final Boss has two phases. The first phase has it use its large scissors it carries to make wide telegraphed swings. Once it enters the second phase, it can break off its scissors into two blades for faster more unpredictable attacks.
On the first phase, the Nameless Puppet has some telegraphed attacks. However, they have such a good range and radius that dodging will be challenging. You’re better off with blocks against its attacks before resuming your attacks against it. If you need to retreat to heal, just beware of its ability to dash closer to you.
The first phase isn’t challenging and you’ll make do by fighting as usual. However its wide swing combos are the most difficult aspect to get past. It also has an unblockable attack that it’ll use occasionally.
The Nameless Puppet’s second phase will begin after you fully deplete its health for the first time. A cutscene will occur where it’ll power up and the scissors its carrying is now glowing red. Its health will fully be restored and it is now more aggressive.
The first few seconds of the second phase usually has the Nameless Puppet using a combo attack that involves tearing the scissor in half and dual wielding it for a flurry of deadly slashes. On the bright side, its close-ranged attacks aren’t as wide as they were in the first phase meaning dodging is more valid now.
With the scissors in half, the Nameless Puppet will charge forward to do combos, so watch its footing. If it jumps back, it’ll slice in the air for a beam attack. It will also jump into the air before descending and spinning with its blades. The problem here is that the boss is so aggressive that you won’t see many windows to attack yourself. It does leave a small window after its combos, so you’ll have to be close to take advantage.
Just keep pushing forward until the Nameless Puppet’s health is depleted. After that, you’ll get one last cutscene before the game ends. And that’s how to beat the Nameless Puppet in Lies of P.
