Lies of P: How to Beat the Scrapped Watchman Boss

The Scrapped Watchman is one of the early bosses you’ll encounter in Lies of P. This monstrous giant blocks the path between you and the Krat City Hall. Just a look at the Scrapped Watchman’s visage is enough to inspire terror in any player who have to go against it. Here’s a guide that teaches you how to beat the Scrapped Watchman in Lies of P.

How to Beat Scrapped Watchman in Lies of P

The best strategy to beat the Scrapped Watchman is by keeping your distance until it makes a slow swing leaving it open to charged attacks. This boss is purely a melee combatant which gives you quite a bit of safety at range. It has plenty of attacks that are vicious but leave small openings that you can take advantage of.

When you do get the chance, hit the Scrapped Watchman with a charged attack to the head after doing Perfect Blocks. You’ll have a chance to stagger it and make it fall to the ground, leaving it open to a Fatal Attack. Once the button prompt appears, press R1/RB/Left Click to deal a significant amount of damage. You’ll notice that the Scrapped Watchman is vulnerable to stagger when his health bar glows silver on the edges.

Watch out for when the Scrapped Watchman raises its arms. This means that he’ll charge forward with a single strike, leaving it open to counter attacks. He’ll also wind up his arm to charge up a strike which you can dodge easily to the side.

Like the other Lies of P bosses, the Scrapped Watchman has two phases. His first phase has him using fast paced but telegraphed swings. Once his health reaches below 50% he’ll start sparking electricity around his body and he’ll gain some area-of-effect attacks that have a good radius.

When Scrapped Watchman starts to spark electricity, watch out for when he glows red and jumps. He’ll dive into the floor’s surface and electricity will spark over a large area in the boss arena. Quickly back away to avoid taking the unblockable damage.

In the second phase, the best chance to hit the Scrapped Watchman is when it does its three attacks. It’ll wind up its arms twice which you can block followed up by an unblockable red attack. The Scrapped Watchman will be vulnerable after this so you can either Perfect Block the last attack or dodge out of the way.

So long as you’re careful and hitting the Scrapped Watchman constantly when it leaves an opening, it’ll go down easy.

Lies of P Scrapped Watchman Rewards

Upon beating the Scrapped Watchman you’ll be rewarded with the following:

    • Broken Hero’s Ergo
    • Overcharged Storage Battery
    • Quartz
    • Core
    • Small Wooden Officer Puppet

If you want to know what to do with the Broken Hero’s Ergo, then you can read our guide for what to do with the Ergos dropped by the bosses here.
