The Lord of the Rings Gollum story trailer was recently shown during the Nacon Direct presentation.

The trailer gives a preview of the story behind the upcoming game, the tale of Gollum who embarks on a quest to retrieve his “precious”, the One Ring. This runs in parallel to the events described in The Fellowship of the Ring. It is an original story that takes players to several regions of Middle-earth and will have familiar faces from the books.

Share an extraordinary adventure with Gollum in his quest for the Precious, in this untold story. 🌋#GollumGame is coming to PC and consoles in 2023.

After a few delays, it seems the developers have now settled for a final release window, 2023. It was supposed to be released in September 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S and a Nintendo Switch version at a later time. It was then announced to be delayed by a “few months” but now it has now settled for later this year, possibly in September 2023.
