Mafia: Definitive Edition Delays Release to September; Gameplay Reveal Coming Later this Month

Mafia: Definitive Edition

Game studio Hangar 13 and publisher 2K recently announced a message in regards to the release date of upcoming remake Mafia: Definitive Edition.

In a new announcement from the developer and publisher, the upcoming remake will now launch this coming Sept. 25. They were planning to release it one month earlier on Aug. 28, but finalizing everything for that launch date has become more challenging for them due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They also did not want to compromise the quality of the experience for the gamers.

Hangar 13 shared that from the beginning this game was a passion project for them. Most of the developers in the team are actually from the ones who created the original version of the game. They are committed to remake the experience in modern platforms with updated visuals and gameplay. They also appreciate the patience and understanding of the fans.

The good news is that there will be an extended look at the upcoming game’s gameplay on July 22. A 15-second teaser is now up on the game’s official Twitter account.

Mafia: Definitive Edition will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
