Upcoming video game Marvel’s Midnight Suns delayed to 2022 has been confirmed by Firaxis.
According to Firaxis in a new Twitter post on the game’s official account, the development team has made a tough decision to move the game’s launch window to the second half of 2022. They acknowledged that many fans were expecting to play the game originally next spring, but they had to choose this and it did not come lightly. They explained that they needed more time to make it the best game possible and the extra months will be used to add more story, cinematics and overall polish.
The developers believe that they want their creative vision for the game to be perfect and want to do it justice in delivering an “unforgettable adventure set in the supernatural side of Marvel.” They also thanked the fans for being excited for the game. They shared that this was a dream project of theirs and was an honor to make something new in the Marvel Universe.
Just like the many games out there that got delayed, the extra time will be used to further polish the game. It seems to be common now with delaying the game to another launch window for further improvements, but this is a good thing so that the mistake of previous games that had bad launches will not happen again.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns will now launch in the second half of 2022 and available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
