Game studio Insomniac Games might just have removed a previous reference of Square Enix’s Avengers game in the new version Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
Kinda Funny Presenter Greg Miller recently posted a video clip on Twitter recently showing how the remastered version does not have the reference anymore. Somehow the reference is gone now.
The video features Spider-Man taking shots at the New York’s Avengers Tower. He then comments that it was too bad that they never got to use it.
In the original version, it was supposed to continue with a line that said the Avengers team was on the west coast or something. This was a reference to Square Enix’s version where the team was on the west coast in San Francisco until the disaster happened at Golden Gate Bridge.
Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment did not officially confirm that this was a reference Marvel’s Avengers, but many fans say it was too obvious.
Now the question arises as to why they removed it then. Both game companies have not made a statement in regards to this.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is now available on PlayStation 5 in the US, Japan, and select few countries. Everyone else will get it November 19.
