Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Officially Gets Standalone Launch

It's finally on its own standalone copy!

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered finally gets its own standalone launch after so long.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition only has Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered as part of its package, but it will be changed later this month. The remastered original will finally have its own standalone copy via the PlayStation Store for only $49.99.

Worry not for players who already own a physical or digital copy of the original game for PS4. They can upgrade to the Remastered version on PS5 for only $10. Sorry, it is not for free.

Another unfortunate issue too: PS Plus members who have any edition of the game that was claimed via PS Plus subscription service will not be eligible to upgrade it to the PS5 version. Players must have bought it first to be able to upgrade it and not for free too.

Aside from this big announcement, Insomniac Games has announced that a Spider-Man 2 prequel comic will be released for free soon on May 6, 2023 as part of the Free Comic Book Day celebration. It shows a glimpse of the lives of Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Mary Jane Watson before the events of Spider-Man 2 and what they are up to.
