Eoten Offering is one of the optional side quests in Nightingale where Ludivine shares the kind of offering that the Elder Eoten could accept in exchange for its heart. This is the third part of the quest chain for the peaceful route in obtaining the Elder Eoten Heart for the Gateway to The Watch quest, and it is the quest required in unlocking the Holy Communion Achievement. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to complete the Eoten Offering quest in Nightingale.
How to unlock the “Eoten Offering” quest
The Eoten Offering quest becomes available shortly after completing the Communion with Spirits quest from Ludivine Saint-Clair. Ludivine Saint-Clair can be found in her camp within the Swamp Antiquarian realm. Partaking in this quest is optional, but completing it will give out additional rewards, plus it unlocks Holy Communion Achievement.
Prepare the offerings for the Elder Eoten
After talking to Ludivine, she will share the recipe to make a Ritual Fabled Meat. In order to prepare the Ritual Fabled Meat offering for the Elder Eoten, you will have to gather these materials and cook them in a Bonfire with a Meat Grinder augment:
- x1 Fabled Meat
- x3 Raw Gem
Fabled Meat can be obtained by hunting down the alpha creatures that roam the biome. The locations of these alpha creatures can be seen as the beast markers that move on the map. It also helps to use the Spyglass to be able to spot them easily out in the open. They appear slightly different than the usual creatures of the biome, plus they have their own unique name. As their class suggests, alpha creatures are tougher and much stronger than the regular variant, so prepare for a bit of a fight.
As for the Bonfire, its recipe can be unlocked from the Essence Traders of any of the three Gloom realms. It can be crafted using the following materials:
- x4 Wood Bundle
- x4 Ingot
The Meat Grinder is an augment that is needed in order to be able to cook the Ritual Fabled Meat. The recipe for the Meat Grinder can be obtained from the Swamp Astrolabe Essence Trader, and it can be crafted using the following materials:
- x2 Ingot
- x1 Lumber
- x1 Shaft
Cook at least two Ritual Fabled Meat as you will be giving one to Ludivine; doing so will complete the quest. You will then be rewarded with the following items:
- x1 Refined Alchemical Boiler Recipe
- x1 Cooking Knife Recipe
- x1 Hearth Card
- x3 Rough Bauble
- x6 Charm Twine (Heart)
You will also unlock the Holy Communion Achievement for completing this quest.
With the Ritual Fabled Meat, it’s now time to look for an Elder Eoten. Just like any other Eoten, these creatures are hard to spot as they just appear as trees within a forest. The Elder Eoten looks slightly different as it looks like a large twisted tree. Using your Spyglass or having the Track Legend enchantment will make it easier to spot, plus its health bar will appear once you get close enough to one.
Before approaching the Elder Eoten, make sure to disarm your companion to prevent them from attacking the creature.
Look for an offering chest held up by roots around the Elder Eoten, then place the Ritual Fabled Meat in it. It will then give out the Elder Eoten Heart. Take the Elder Eoten Heart to Nellie Bly to fulfill the objective for the Gateway to The Watch quest.
