Everyone knows that the end game in Pal World is to become the very best of the best, and you can’t do that without making high-end firearms. One of the resources you’ll need to make them is polymers, which can only made through High Quality Pal Oil.
In this guide, I’ll tell you where you can get High Quality Pal Oil in the early game so you’ll have a head start in production before reaching that part of the tech tree. You’ll need a lot of Pal Oil to create the various weapons the game has to offer. It doesn’t hurt to get a head start on things, especially when we’re talking about firearms.
What is High Quality Pal Oil Used On in Palworld?
Starting at level 21, you can start using High Quality Pal Oil to create the musket aka the first firearm in the game. From there, the value of High Quality Pal Oil only increases. After the handgun, the demand for the material increases significantly after unlocking the Polymer schematic at level 33. From there, it’s a skip and a hop to weapons such as shotguns, assault rifles, and the like. All require a lot of Polymer in the creation process.
How to get High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld
Currently, the only way to get High Quality Pal Oil is to knock out Pals that have them as possible drops. Dumud is one of the first Pals you will encounter from the list, usually from Syndicate camps around the map. To know which Pals can drop the material, look at their entry from the Paldeck, and at the bottom right of the screen, you’ll see the items that can potentially drop.

Where to Farm High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld
Now that we know which Pals can drop High Quality Pal Oil, let’s go through the places to farm the material. The best place to farm High Quality Pal Oil is the desert biome Center North of the map. There, you will find enough Digtoises to fill up your inventory. Do mind that you’ll need to be above level 20 to even stand a chance in the area. Some heat and cold-resistant clothes are a must if you intend to stay for extended periods.
Otherwise, look around muddy areas near the bodies of water and you might just a random Dumud basking in the sun. It’s not much and it’s not a guaranteed find all the time but every little bit helps.
