Payday 3 introduces C-Stacks, which is another currency it uses besides the money you collect from heists. What it’s used for, however, isn’t properly explained, and you may be curious if this is Payday 3’s form of premium currency, which requires the use of real-life money. This guide will explain what Payday 3 C-Stacks are for, how to get them, and what to use them for.

What are C-Stacks in Payday 3?

C-Stacks is a type of cryptocurrency in Payday 3. They’re designed to be used by criminals in the underworld to acquire goods not normally available with just cash. Since C-Stacks can only be acquired using in-game methods, they’re not considered premium currency.

It’s easy to mistake C-Stacks for Payday 3’s form of microtransaction monetization. They very much seem like so from a glance.

How to Get C-Stacks in Payday 3?

C-Stacks can be bought from Setaggi, the Currency Broker under Vendors in the Main Menu. They’re incredibly expensive with a single C-Stack costing about $10,000 in-game cash. You can choose to purchase them in packs.

How to Get C-Stacks in Payday 3

C-Stacks also get more expensive after you keep buying the same pack. Which means it’ll be cheaper on the long run to purchase multiple packs at once if you’re looking to stock up on this fictional crypto currency. You can only buy 11 packs of each stack. There’s also a timer on the upper left side of each C-Stack pack that will reset after it runs out.

Once you purchase C-Stacks with your in-game money, you cannot convert them back into cash. So you have to be wise about how much C-Stacks you want.

What do C-Stacks do in Payday 3?

What To Use C-Stacks For in Payday 3

C-Stacks are primarily used to buy powerful preset weapons and cosmetics in the store that cannot be bought with regular cash. However you still need to be at upper levels to purchase higher-end items that need to be bought by C-Stacks.

As Payday 3 is still relatively new, there aren’t as much items that can be bought with C-Stacks that you could get by using cash alone. However we recommend that you take advantage of the low prices to build up a good sum of C-Stacks are Starbreeze is likely to add more items on the store.
