Game developer Platinum Games recently has some news about some partnership and an investment for their company.
Platinum Games gets investment
The Bayonetta 3 and Babylon’s Fall developer has recently received capital investment from Chinese gaming company Tencent Holdings as a basis for partnership. This partnership will have no effect on the independence of the game developer, which will continue to have its own operations under its current corporate structure.
President and CEO Kenichi Sato stated that the company will use the capital from Tencent Holdings to strengthen their foundation as a business and expand from game development into exploring self-publishing. They are also planning to achieve a wider global perspective, while still creating high quality games that stay true to their name.
