Game developer PUBG Corp. is giving away a free cosmetic item for the players in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. They also released a new infographic that showed the stats about the game.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds reaches 5 million players
The battle royale genre definitely has tons of competitors and Fortnite seems to be doing well this time around. On the other hand, PUBG is doing great as well with the Xbox One platform alone getting passed 5 million players. The game is a superstar on the console platform right now.
Way back in December last year, the game was launched on Xbox One. On its first two days, it garnered 1 million players right away and 3 million at the start of January. By the end of the same month, it ballooned into 4 million players.
Free DLC to celebrate
In order to celebrate this great milestone for PUBG, the game developers released a free cosmetic item for the players on the Xbox One console. They can get access to the PUBG5 jacket, which has the color of mostly green and has the number five written on it. Those who have purchased the game and created a character as of March 22 will be able to gain access to this freebie.

PUBG Corp. released a new infographic that showcased all of the achievements that the players acquired so far. Chicken dinners that were won came to almost 5 million players, with the average time to win of 34 minutes. 952,312 people were killed with the signature silly weapon: a frying pan.
Other stats were revealed like 41 million died by failing to escape the storm. 4.6 billion bandages were also used so far.
