Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and President Jim Ryan has recently shared a very interesting detail about the PlayStation Plus subscription service and what it offers in the future.
According to Ryan in an exclusive interview with media outlet GQ, there will be more new games coming to the PS Plus subscription service and will be given away for free. It started with new games like Bugsnax and Destruction AllStars.
Here’s his statement:
We see this is a very interesting and innovative way to publish games and to make games available to our subscribers. It works for us as the publisher and we know that subscribers to PlayStation Plus love it.
In a way, this is somewhat similar to what the Xbox Game Pass offers, but with the difference of no expiration of it staying in the gaming library. PlayStation Plus subscribers only need to pay the subscription fee and they can have the game forever for free.
The number of new games is still few, but it could be the start of good things to happen later.
