The Pokémon Company has officially revealed the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet second trailer and there is a lot to unpack.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Second Trailer Introduces School Life
According to the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet second trailer, the theme for this generation is school based where the characters are dressed in student uniforms and seems to be attending a school that depends on the game version you got. Just like what the leaks revealed before, it will be a combination of Pokémon Legends Arceus and Pokémon Sword and Shield. It will be an open world game where various large areas can be explored.
Two Professors for Each Version, New Rival
The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet second trailer revealed that there will be two professors this time, each dependent on which game version you are on. Scarlet has Professor Sada while Violet has Professor Turo. The Pokémon starters are still the same though for each game: Spirigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
The trailer also revealed your rival in this iteration, her name is Nemona. She seems to be using a Lightning-type Pokémon. There were no details on what its name was so it might be introduced at a later time.
New Pokémon, Mini-Pokémon Centers, and More
It seems players can connect with their friends via online multiplayer and go on adventures together. Players can sneak on Pokémon, just like on Pokémon Legends Arceus, battles are still the same as the usual Pokémon battles unlike Legends where players could run around during combat, you can still encounter Pokémon trainer opponents on the field, there are mini Pokémon centers in the large areas opposed to previous games where it is usually in town, trading Pokémon looks cool, and lots and lots of new Pokémon to capture.
Legendaries Appear
By the end of the trailer, the two Legendary Pokémons were shown, one for Scarlet and one for Violet. For Scarlet, it will be Koraidon and it seems to be a lizard with a wheel embedded on its chest. For Violet, it will be Miraidon and is also a lizard with jet engines for legs. The designs are both bizarre and cool at the same time with weird modern parts for their body and amazing lizard design for the entirety.
It seems it’s going to be one hell of an amazing Pokémon generation this year. Here’s a closer analysis of the two Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokémons.
