PS Plus February 2023 – Predictions, Leaks, Free PS4 & PS5 Games

Here's our prediction for the free games in February 2023!

It is the middle of the month and you know what that means, PS Plus February 2023 predictions of free games! We will be revealing our own predictions of possible free games and, hopefully, get them right for PS Plus members to download for free next month.

Just like every other PS Plus free games reveal, SIE will announce it usually in the next few weeks, particularly on the last Wednesday of the month which is January 25, 2023. PS Plus subscribers must at least have an Essential tier membership to claim these free games. Members must also take note that depending on the situation next month, the release date could change. This time around, subscribers might have to wait a little longer before they could download the free games next month.

The Last of Us Part II

The Last of Us Part 2 – PS4

HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation is a really big hit right now and it would be a waste not to take advantage of this chance to make the games popular again to gain some sales. It has already started with The Last of Us Part 1, the remake of the original, so it would be right to make The Last of Us Part 2 available to download for free for a limited time. Sure, it would be free, but at least it would mend the past issue of the game due to its controversial story (Just add Joel and golf club. Look it up.)

Back 4 Blood Heal Trauma

Back 4 Blood – PS5, PS4

Since we are riding the zombie-apocalypse survivor shooter game, then Back 4 Blood would be the next best thing. This is another title that needs a major boost of popularity as it has died down recently. Turtle Rock’s spiritual successor of the Left of Dead is not living up to its name, unfortunately. Compared to the originals, its gaming community is quiet these days so by getting added to the PS Plus gaming library, it could at least gain back the audience that it initially had on day one.

Gravity Rush 2 – PS4

Surprisingly, Gravity Rush 2 has not been available on PS Plus for western audiences while the Asian regions got lucky for getting this early. Making this available for PS Plus US would be great.

Special Nomination: Marvel’s Avengers – PS5, PS4

We know that we have been nominating Marvel’s Avengers for PS Plus for many months now and also it is available on PS Plus Extra, we think it is about time that this game deserves another shot. It has already been more or less a year since that bad launch so it is about time it gets a win. Adding this to the PS Plus gaming library would definitely give it the much-needed “revive” boost it needs.

PS Plus February 2023 Free Games Reveal Time

The PS Plus February 2023 free games will mostly likely be announced by SIE on January 25, 2023. Watch out for the big announcement at 4:40 GMT.

PS Plus February 2023 Free Games May Come Later Than Expected

For the month of February 2023 though, it seems players will have to wait longer to claim the free PS Plus games than usual. Based on the pattern, SIE will reveal the official PS Plus free games on the last Wednesday of each month and the PlayStation Store gets updated on the first Tuesday of the next month. The last Wednesday of this month is January 25 and the first Tuesday of next month is February 7, which means subscribers will have to wait two weeks before they could claim the free games. This is one of the rare occasions that claiming the free games will be longer than anticipated.
