It’s that time of the month once again with the PS Plus January 2023 predictions of free games that may be added to the extensive gaming library of the service. It’s time to reveal our own predictions and, hopefully, get the right titles for PS Plus members to download for free next year.
Like before, SIE will be revealing the new PS Plus 2023 free games in the next few weeks, most likely around December 27 this year. In order to redeem these free games, PS Plus subscribers will need to have at least Essential tier membership to make this work. Members must also take note that the release date could change depending on the situation next month. They can wait for a few days before they can download the free games later this January 2023.

- Persona 5 Royal – PS4
- Little Nightmares 2 – PS5, PS4
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction – PS5, PS4
Persona 5 Royal – PS4
Atlus’ smash hit Persona 5 Royal is our first pick for the first month of 2023. Last year, Persona 5 Strikers was given away, but this time it should be Persona 5 Royal but with a condition: it should be the PS4 version only. The PS5 version launched just recently so that is a good reason not to be given away for free. The PS4 version on the other hand has been around for a while so it is prime to be h next free game on PS Plus.
Little Nightmares 2 – PS5, PS4
The second pick is the popular horror game Little Nightmares 2 for the PS4 and PS5 consoles. It is a really great game with an awesome story and game mechanics that keep players on the edge of their seats with a surprising plot twist at the end.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction – PS5, PS4
This title came out early this year and it did not gain enough attention to be talked about after a few months ever since. If this game is going to be given away as a PS Plus free game, it would definitely reboot its sales again and might get the attention it needs. The Division titles got this boost a while back, why would it not happen to its fellow Tom Clancy title?
