Recently, Sony held a PlayStation Meeting press conference to announce their latest hardware to date, the PS4 Pro (codenamed “PS NEO), and the PS4 Slim. Since it’s confirmation at E3 2016 that there is a much powerful hardware to release within this year. What Sony confirmed is that the PS4 Pro is able to run 4K and HDR displays on upcoming game and old ones to support this resolution. In the PS Meeting 2016 that happened recently, Sony showed Insomniac Games’ upcoming Spider-Man game in 4K display. It was superb and visually stunning.

And what’s more interesting and also good to know is that there are no PS4 Pro exclusives. So that means, all upcoming games will still be available for the standard PS4. For those who wants to have crisps displays who has 4K, then it’s time for you to replace your PS4 to PS4 Pro.

“Today marks an exciting new milestone for PlayStation as we unveiled the high-end PS4 Pro in the midst of the console lifecycle, catering to gamers who are looking for a heightened PS4 experience. By accelerating the innovation cadence at PlayStation, we’re introducing choice in the marketplace, enabling gamers to choose the PS4 model that meets their needs. Ultimately, with titles that leverage the potential of PS4 Pro – plus PlayStation VR launching soon – all PS4 owners continue to benefit from having the best place to play.”
-Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
