Legendary top-view shooter Raiden III has been recently announced to be returning with its latest incarnation, Raiden III x MIKADO MANIAX. Allowing customization of wallpapers, music, and game mode allow players to experience this legendary high-octane top-view shoot-’em-up title in more ways than before!
Developed by MOSS Co. on top of being published by Nippon Ichi Software America and set for a Summer 2023 release in the West, shoot-’em-up fans will have something really good to look forward to.
This title ought to be a lot more fun to 1CC run than Raiden IV was, and I hope we get a lot of characters crossing over from the Raiden Fighters series considering the various options for play they offer, for those that are buying it for PlayStation 4 and 5, the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC (via Steam).
Raiden III x MIKADO MANIAX seems to be shaping up to be a banger of a shoot-’em-up considering its original incarnation is already quite good on its own, with spin-offs like Raiden Fighters not included for ease but not as heavy as Raiden IV: OVERKILL. Seibu Kaihatsu was the original maker and is still fondly remembered for creating the series that now still lingers long after they have left.
Looks like this is another one straight to my wishlist on Steam and plan clear it with just one credit. Kinda wishing they’d finally include other fighters like the ones that showed up in the Raiden Fighters series to provide players and fans a complete package that comes across as a love letter, but that’s just me as a long-time fan.
Raiden III x MIKADO MANIAX is set to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this summer.
