Insomniac Games Creative Director Marcus Smith recently shared the newest trailer for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart introducing the new character.
The female Lombax is called Rivet and is a resistance fighter from another dimension where organic life is hunted by the evil Emperor Nefarious. Since this is a new dimension, there is also a new location called the Nefarious City and some alternate-dimension versions of Sargasso and Torren IV. The video also offers a preview of the new weapons and gameplay mechanics.
The trailer also introduces new tracks from the band DEVO that was co-founded by Mark Mothersbaugh. He is also the composer of the Rift Apart soundtrack.
On the official PlayStation Blog post, the Digital Deluxe Edition details were shared with a preview of the five new looks for Ratchet and Rivet. These are the Imperial, Scavenger, Android, Rebel, and Hacker suits. They give a distinct cosmetic look for both characters.
Smith revealed that there will be a new PlayStation State of Play and the focus will be this game. It will go on air on April 29 at 2pm Pacific/ 5pm Eastern. Fans will be treated with more than 15 minutes of fresh gameplay.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 this coming June 11.
