Remnant 2 will have players live through the post-apocalyptic Earth several years after the foiled total invasion of the alien hivemind known as the Roots. Doubtful of their quest, the traveler heads to the city ruins in search of the fabled Ward 13, only to find that the path to it is still infested by the aliens. Read ahead as we go through the Prologue of Remnant 2.
Remnant 2 Prologue Walkthrough
At the start of the game, right after you create your character, you will be out on an expedition with your friend Cass as you search for the entrance to Ward 13. You start off at Eastport and make your way through the decrepit buildings of the area. Continue following the set path until you find a locked door.
Look for some crates to climb on and make your way through an opening. You can then go back to the door and unlock it from the other side. You will be encountering your first enemies which will be a good time to test out your gun.
Continue following the path ahead and you will arrive at the Root-infested sewers. Another encounter will happen where you will be surrounded by waves of enemies. You can try to fend them off for as long as you can, but you will eventually be overwhelmed. A cutscene will then play where you meet Clementine and Bo.
Root Mantis Boss Fight
As you make your way deeper into the sewers, you will encounter the Root Mantis. All four of you will be fighting against this boss. For this fight, you will also be practicing your dodging against the boss’ attacks. which are mostly claw swipes and claw slams. There is a small window of invulnerability during dodges, so make sure to time them right.
Once the boss has been defeated, you will get the Root Ganglia from it as a drop, as well as a Trait Point.
After the short cutscene, your party will then arrive at Ward 13.
