    Red9

A powerful handgun. A large red “9” is burned into the grip to prevent the user from loading incorrect ammo. The Red9 can be obtained in Chapter 4 after defeating Del Lago; ride the boat to the shipwreck in the middle of the lake and open the chest where the weapon is kept.

    • Bolt Thrower

Best Resident Evil 4 Remake Weapons

These are just the best weapons that can be obtained from the single run and this list does not include weapons that are available in a New Game+.

    • Fighting Knife – The Fighting Knife is just better across the board as the melee weapon, but it can only be obtained a bit late in the game.
    • Red9 – The Red9 packs a powerful shot that can deal effective headshots, with the only downside being its strong kickback.
    • Broken Butterfly – The Broken Butterfly can be used in tandem with the Red9 or on its own as Leon’s sidearm as its shots are also powerful enough for headshots.
    • Riot Gun – The Riot Gun is the most effective first run shotguns that can do quick work of mobs or even in close combat situations.
    • Stingray – The Stingray is a better rifle that can cover you for long-distance shots as it is mostly stable and has a large magazine.
    • Bolt Thrower – The Bolt Thrower is best used when playing tactically especially when using the attachable mines, but you will have to compensate for the slow reloading.
    • Rocket Launcher – The Rocket Launcher deals huge amounts of damage and it’s best to always have at least one when you’re about to face hard bosses.
