Game company CAPCOM has recently announced that there will be a new patch for Resident Evil Village Steam version soon.
Next week, a new patch will be rolled out for the game and this time it will make the game perform better on PC. Players will be able to download it on August 10, 2021 according to a new post on the official Twitter account of Resident Evil. It will address the following:
- Internal processing will be improved to optimize performance
- Minor fine-tuning to FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR)
Way back in July 2021, a patch was dispatched to finally fix the PC version of the game, which had trouble with slowdowns during certain scenes. It also fixed the Denuvo DRM feature, which was actually the cause of the slowdowns. This was released after someone from the gaming community released an unofficial version that showed removal of the DRM fixed the problem.
Resident Evil Village will be getting the new patch on PC via Steam on August 10, 2021. It is also available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
