Ubisoft announced the global release of the first season, Raging Tides, for Skull and Bones, offering players worldwide free access to a thrilling pirate experience.
The post-launch journey for Skull and Bones promises an expansion of pirate empires and encounters with new challenges as each season unfolds. In Season 1, Raging Tides, players will embark on a treacherous adventure against the formidable Pirate Lord Philippe La Peste and his infamous vessel, La Potence. From confronting a Legendary Pirate Lord and engaging in World Events to empire-building, this inaugural addition to the post-launch roadmap marks the commencement of an exciting maritime voyage.
In addition to enhancing quality-of-life aspects, Season 1, Raging Tides, introduces substantial free content for all players:
- Tides of Terror: Challenging seasonal events where players confront La Peste’s Fleet of Pestilence. The climax involves a final showdown at La Peste’s base, the Blighted Bastion, in an epic battle.
- New World Events: Encounters with Elite Warships from megacorporations like the DMC (Opwelling) and local factions like the Clan of Fara (Mizerja). Merchant Convoys with high-value loot will navigate trade routes in the Indian Ocean.
- New Bounties: Players can pursue bounties leading them to legendary entities such as the mysterious Ghost Ship (Rode Maangodin) and the fearsome Sea Monster (Zamaharibu).
- New Leaderboard Rewards: Upgraded weapons and equipment.
- Seasonal Smuggler Pass: Three free tracks offering gameplay items and blueprints to optimize and customize ships. Free cosmetics include captain and ship sets, resources, and Pieces of Eight. The Premium pass adds extra cosmetics and Gold premium currency.
Skull and Bones, developed by Ubisoft Singapore in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, stands as a co-op open-world pirate action RPG where players forge their paths to become notorious pirate kingpins in a perilous world.
