Star Wars Eclipse New Report Says Release Date Possibly Five Years Away or More

It's going to take a long time for the release.

According to a new report, it was revealed that upcoming video game Star Wars Eclipse by Quantic Dream is possibly getting released in five years or more.

Many fans were blown away by Quantic Dream’s Star Wars trailer last year and that got them very excited for the future of Star Wars games. The developers have not dropped the official release window for the game though, but it seems a new report could shed some light on the matter.

According to a post on media outlet Xfire by popular leaker Tom Henderson, the reason for Quantic Dream to announce Star Wars Eclipse so early was an attempt to attract more developers to join their studio. They were having difficulties gaining more talent to work on the game. They were previously accused of having a toxic work environment, which could be the reason for having a hard time hiring new people to join them.

Due to their current struggles, it seems SW Eclipse’s release will be a long, long time. Also, Henderson speculates the reason for releasing the trailer early is to attract more buyers. It seems they are trying to gain favor to one of the big guys that are currently acquiring studios left and right.

So far, no official announcements have been made by Quantic Dream.

Star Wars Eclipse is currently in development.
