Spiders and Nacon have recently announced the start of Steelrising Beta on its available platforms.
Steelrising Beta Begins Today
Players who have preordered Steelrising will be able to try out Steelrising Beta on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S starting August 25, 2022, at 10 AM CEST. Players can try out a small but substantial portion of the game before the full release.
Two Levels To Try Out
The beta proposes two levels called Saint Cloud and Les Invalides. The players will be able to try out different types of builds, test several weapons, and find their own playstyle for the game launch in these two levels. They will also be replayable.
Alternate Paris
This is the alternate 18th century Paris that was recreated by the Spiders team with the notable locations Hôtel des Invalides or the Château de Saint Cloud. The rest of Paris will be introduced at a later time, when the game fully releases on September 8, 2022.
Spiders Studio has been inspired by numerous historical sources and reproduced some of the emblemantic monuments of the Parisian capital like the Louvre, Notre-Dame de Paris, and Les Invalides. Several monuments have now disappeared in this game like the Grand Chatelet, the Pont au Change, or the famous Bastille.
Steelrising depicts an alternative version of history where King Louis XVI, who loved clockmaking, had built an army of robots capable of quelling a rebellion. Well, he has made such robots, which have burned Paris with men, women, and children systematically massacred.
Aegis, an automaton created as a dancer for the pleasure of the court, becomes a warrior and now Marie-Antoinette’s bodyguard. The Queen has now tasked Aegis to cut a path through Paris and guide her to their foe.
Steelrising launches on September 2022 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
