Chapter 3: Blessings Walkthrough
Upon reaching Year 3, you will see a short cutscene of your progress with the game and your child, who has grown up a bit. Your house will also get another upgrade in the form of your child’s own room.
Chapter 3: Blessings Objectives
As the chapter’s title suggests, you can expect to start receiving more gifts from the villagers of the Forgotten Valley in your third year, provided that you have established a good relationship with them. On top of that, you will also be busy nurturing your child and working on what career they will take when they grow up. Your child will be one of the main things to focus on for this chapter, of course, while still maintaining the operations of your farm.
Young Kid Stage
In your third year, your child grows up and becomes more independent. They will also start doing more things that they like based on their interests. Throughout this chapter, you’ll be focused on shaping your child to how you want them to grow up and what career they would want to pursue.
Your child has innate interests, which will depend on who you choose to marry. These interests will make them naturally gravitate towards activities that are related to a specific career.

It is still possible to influence your child to pursue a career that is outside of their interests; it would just take a lot more effort to do so as compared to doing activities or giving them gifts that they are already interested in.
You will also have to be aware of the NPCs that you befriend, as they can also influence your child. If you don’t really mind not getting gifts from the villagers, you can simply talk to the ones that can help your child’s career; you’ll have more time to improve your relationship with the rest of the villagers soon once your child turns into a teenager.
To know if your child is taking on the right interest for your preferred career, you can always check through their Resident Info > Child’s Interest and see if the likes meter that corresponds to that interest is higher than the rest. You can also see what they are interested in through their dialogue when they talk to you or even through the decor of their own room.
Don’t forget to partake in the Starlight Concert on Winter 5 as it may as well be your final chance to get a boost to improve your child’s interest.
Farm Life
Your farm’s development would still depend on how much work you have put into it. Keep constantly aiming for upgrades to your farm and barns to increase your income. Remember that your spouse will also be helping you out with some of the chores on the farm, which will help you be able to do more. Keep fusing seeds with Vinnie to get the crops and fruits that can get you optimal earnings every season.
