Horses are one of the animals that can be raised in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. These horses offer a quick way to travel within the valley, and not to mention, players are given one for free, although there are only a few breeds that one can choose from. Read ahead as we go through the different breeds and colors of horses in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
All available Horse colors
There are only three colors to choose from upon getting a horse: brown, black, and white. Other than the colors, all three horses have the same traits.
Once a color is selected, only then will you be able to see the horse itself. You will then be asked to give it a name and place where its feeding trough will be at in the farm.
How to get a Horse
You will be given a Horse by Takakura once you reach Summer 1 in Year 1. Upon completing the first few steps in owning the horse, the horse will be immediately fitted with a saddle so you can ride it right away.
Taking care of a Horse
Your horse has to be fed daily along with the rest of your farm animals. They also have to be groomed using a brush to keep them from getting dirty and to raise their affection. They can also be given a treat like a Fodder+.
Riding the Horse
You can ride the horse by approaching it from one of its sides and then pressing the Ride Horse button once it appears. You can only ride the horse if it is awake.
Calling the Horse
To call a horse from anywhere in the valley, you must first take it out of the barn and into the pasture. Then, press the Call Horse button and your horse will go to your location. If the horse is asleep, calling your horse will wake them up.
Can the Horse be bred?
Sadly, the horse cannot be bred and give birth to a pony since you can only own one horse in the game.
Can the Horse die?
Horses cannot die in the game even if it is neglected, similar to all of the other farm animals.
