How can you prove yourself to be the best fighter if Street Fighter 6 crossplay and cross-platform features don’t exist? Challenging other players from different platforms is the only way to call yourself the ultimate street fighter. Find out if the latest Street Fighter 6 has crossplay and cross-platform features.
Does Street Fighter 6 Have Crossplay?
Street Fighter 6 will have full crossplay and cross-platform support between all platforms. You’ll freely be able to play with other players from PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.
You can access crossplay features from Street Fighter 6’s Battle Hub and Fighting Ground modes. It’s here that you’ll be able to fight other players, watch battles between them, and generally interact with people from any platform.
Street Fighter 6 will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC so you’re able to crossplay between all of those platforms. However since the game isn’t coming out on Xbox One, there is no available crossplay features there. You’ll still need PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold in order to access the game’s multiplayer features.
There was a Street Fighter 6 open beta a few days ago where crossplay support was enabled between PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Except for the PS4 since the open beta wasn’t available for the platform.
Street Fighter 6’s predecessor did have crossplay but only between PS4 and PC. It is possible that Capcom may turn off crossplay support for Street Fighter 6 depending on how lagging the response times are for each platform. Certain platforms may not be able to keep up with input response times and in a game like Street Fighter 6 it would threaten to make matches unbalanced.
That’s everything about the Street Fighter 6 crossplay and cross-platform features explained. You can look forward to Street Fighter 6 being released this June 2, 2023 and see what’s included in the Street Fighter 6 Season Pass.
