Looking for a way to get away from physical sports and just want to have fun with consoles, but still want to get those sweet credits? Well, here is some good news for you guys courtesy of game company Nintendo and PlayVS.

    Source: nintendo.co.uk

PlayVS and Nintendo have recently entered a partnership in order to get video games Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate recognized as a high school varsity athletics. You read that right, fans of Nintendo Switch games can finally get them school credits for extracurricular activities and clubs without actually going outside.

The organization is now taking up sign-ups for its waitlist for schools that are interested in this awesome experience. There are “hundreds” of qualifying schools and one of them will get a Nintendo Switch console. 3000 select schools can get a copy of Splatoon 2 or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Schools who will get Splatoon 2 might have to buy more consoles and software because it is a 4v4 competitive game. For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, getting joycons would be cool, but it would be better to get some controllers that can take the beating.

The only requirement for this awesome activity? Just maintain your grades and attendance and you are all set.

Would you want to have this extracurricular activity for your school? Let them sign up now!

Thanks Fanbyte! Also thanks to our sister site Xbox Outsider for the tip!
