Bandai Namco Entertainment reveals today the Tekken 8 Ling Xiaoyu gameplay trailer. She is now the first challenger to join the roster that has not been revealed initially in the earlier announcements.
After the big reveal of Jun Kazama’s gameplay trailer yesterday, it seems Bandai Namco is in high spirits afterward as it releases a new video right away today with the Tekken 8 Ling Xiaoyu gameplay trailer. This time it is the “Dancing Phoenix” Ling Xiaoyu who practices the Chinese Martial Arts Baguazhang and Piguaquan-based martial arts, Hekki Sho. Compared to her previous iterations, Xiaoyu’s look has matured quite nicely with most of her skin covered up but also showing just a little bit of it. Her look now is closer to a formal Chinese dress than her previous iterations which had a modern look to them.
As usual, Xiaoyu can dish out the best combos in a fight combining various attacks in one fluid motion. In fact, her movements are more gentle dance with a flurry of fists and kicks combined. Her opponents can easily be bedazzled by her attacks as she dances around them only to hit them multiple times until they succumb to their injuries. She also has various new attacks too and her “rage art” shows the pinnacle of her “gentle” Chinese martial arts in one move.
If this flow will continue, we predict more new characters will be announced in the coming days. Hopefully, another new fighter will be revealed tomorrow. Check out here to know the characters that have been revealed to join Tekken 8.
Tekken 8 still has no release date. It will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
