Feed the Children is an MK-Challenge part of Program 3 in The Outlast Trials. In this trial, players need to collect the ingredients to prepare. Read ahead as we go through the tasks in order to complete the Feed the Children challenge in The Outlast Trials.
Feed the Children Main Objective: A healthy body makes for a healthy mind. Provide the children with the nutrition they deserve.
The Outlast Trials: Feed the Children MK-Challenge Walkthrough
In this challenge, you will be tasked with “feeding” the children inside the cafeteria, and you will have to carry the ingredients for this soup. Just like before, Mother Gooseberry will be making her rounds, as will the other enemies, so keep your eyes sharp.
To start, make your way into the cafeteria, approach the huge pot with the soup of the day, and pull the lever to turn on the burner.
Gather Bleach for the Soup
For the first and only ingredient, you will have to gather five jugs of bleach and pour them over the soup. The first jug should be on the table nearby. The rest of the jugs can be found in the other parts of the cafeteria. These jugs are heavy and will slow you down as you carry it.
It’s recommended to have the Heavy Training prescription unlocked which would help you carry large objects without slowing down too much, or you can also get an adrenaline shot. Also, you cannot hide unless you drop them first; they won’t break and they will be in the last position you left them.
There are two sides where you can start looking for bleach. For this guide, we’ll start searching for the bleach in the chapel first.
Head toward the right until you reach a flight of stairs. Take the stairs up to reach the chapel. If you see any enemies patrolling the area, try to lure them out of there first to make carrying the bleach easier, as there are not many hiding places in the chapel.
Next, you can head down into the storage area. Your first objective is to unlock the doors for your exit towards the stairs to get as many paths as possible for your retrieval. The storage area is lit, so enemies can see you easily; it’s best to have many looping areas so that you can bring the bleach slowly but safely closer to the pot.
For the other half of the section, you will arrive at an open area that leads to the rooms and to the swimming pool area. There are plenty of holes that you can slip into to shake enemies off your trail and the rooms are quite dark, so make sure to have enough juice for your goggles. You can also use the outer ledge around the pool to put some distance between you and the enemies, just make sure that to not let them flank you on both sides.
Once you have poured all five jugs of bleach into the pot, go to the dining area and press the button. This will set the alarm and make Mother Gooseberry run to your area to chase you down.
Exit the trial
After the alarm has been sprung, make your way back to the shuttle. Press the button to call the shuttle, survive until it comes, and ride it to complete the challenge.

There are three posters that can be found within the level.
- Poster #1 – This poster can be found near the door on the other side of the swimming pool.
- Poster #2 – This poster can be found in the corridor near the locker area.
- Poster #3 – This poster can be found inside a restroom within the classroom area.
