The Outlast Trials Program 3 Foster the Orphans cover

Foster the Orphans is an MK-Challenge part of Program 3 in The Outlast Trials. In this trial, players will have to help the orphans escape the orphanage. Read ahead as we go through the tasks in order to complete the Foster the Orphans challenge in The Outlast Trials.

Foster the Orphans Main Objective: Save the children from Mother Gooseberry and lead them to their new foster home.

In this challenge, you will have to lead the orphans out of the orphanage as you make your escape. Of course, Mother Gooseberry will not allow that so she will be hot on your tail.

To start, make your way to the lobby and pull the lever to call on the orphans.

Adjust the frequencies to unlock the Lobby Gate

Once the orphans have reached the gate, you will have to unlock it via terminals. There are five terminals attached to the gate and you can look on top of the gate and follow the green cables to find where the terminals are.

Go to the terminal on the left side and adjust the frequencies similar to how it was done in the the Cleanse the Orphan trial. Adjust the knobs so that the wave will match the frequency shown on the terminal. After adjusting the first terminal, you will then have to find the rest of the terminals in the other rooms.

Doing this solo will be a bit difficult as some of the terminals are out in the open and in well-lit rooms, and you will be vulnerable while you work on the dials. Once you are spotted, you can leave the terminal and shake off the pursuer first before heading back; your progress won’t be reset. Setting up a Blind rig some few distance from the terminal and where enemies would most likely walk in could buy you some more time.

You can find the other terminals within the downstairs storage area, in the swimming pool area, in the classroom corridor, and in the dining area.

Open the Lobby Gate

Once you have matched all five frequencies, head back to the lobby and press the button to open the gate. Wait for the kids to be loaded into the van.

Exit the trial

Immediately head towards the shuttle and press the button to call it. Survive until the shuttle arrives and then ride it to complete the challenge.

  • Regular rewards:
    • Random cosmetic
    • Random cell decoration
    • XP and $ based on rating

There are three posters that can be found within the level.

  • Poster #1 – This poster can be found inside the dining area near the wash area.
  • Poster #2 – This poster can be found inside the restroom, at the back wall.
  • Poster #3 – This poster can be found inside the laundry area.
