The long-awaited Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game is here and the asymmetric survival game has already gotten us excited for what’s to come. Ever since the beta not too long again, players have been wondering what the trophies are going to be like: will it take them forever to earn or are they going to be so easy that the Platinum is considered a giveaway? Well, let’s find out.

There are 52 trophies up for grabs in the game. As expected, they are spread between all the playable characters: the killers and the survivors. What’s interesting is the sheer number of bronze trophies present. It didn’t seem possible for a game that has many similarities to other PvP survival games.

  • 1 Platinum trophy

  • What Will be Left of You?: Play 74 public matches (Reduced from the Previously reported 1973 matches)

If we’re going to use the early Betas as the baseline, it’s looking like it’s going to take a while to get all the trophies. Firstly, there’s the matter of playing 74 public matches to earn the What Will Be Left of You? Bronze trophy. You can do practically all the killer and survivor trophies in those 74 public matches. But on the safe side, let’s say that it can all be done in 100 matches. That’s well over the 25-hour mark. That’s nothing compared to how many hours the average player plays on Dead by Daylight.

If you’re looking to make a lot of Survivor progress off the bat, we suggest taking Connie on as quickly as possible. She is the “master of unlocking” in this game. No lock stands a chance with a well-versed Connie. She is also the key to many quick escapes.

For trophies like the You Spelt Champion Wrong Bronze trophy, your best bet is going to be the Cook. He is a speedy killer and has enhanced hearing to quickly locate any rats hiding in the basement. He is also good for trophies that require a body count.

If you’re looking to get most of the Killer and Survivor challenges done very quickly, there is a way to do this through Private Matches. Since the Skill challenges and Kill animations don’t require players to be in a public match, they can all be done gradually among friends. It is best to do it with a full lobby. 4 players is the minimum number to start a private match.

The Mine All Mine Silver trophy requires a game to have four victims. Including yourself as the Killer, this trophy will require a 5-player private lobby.

And finally, the first trophy you should try to get is the Texas Through and Through Gold Trophy. Reaching level 5 on all characters is a time-consuming task. But when done as part of your 74 public matches, you can start the process of crossing out characters that reach level 5. Once everyone is at level 5, you can do the rest of the matches using characters you are best at.

And that’s all the advice for getting the Platinum trophy for Texas Chain Saw Massacre quickly. The game is actually a very fun game to play with other people. We hope that it gets the support it deserves long term. Goodness knows, Dead by Daylight could use the competition.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will fully release on August 18th, 2023 on PC (via Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Xbox players can pick up the game from Game Pass on day one.
