It’s no secret that Tom Clancy’s The Division hasn’t exactly been well received by the fans at initial release. That has changed however since the latest update for the game that brought back players into its roster. Well that update may not be the only thing to bring players back into the game. It turns out there’s something new related to The Division coming our way. It’s its sequel, The Division 2. Ubisoft Massive has announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is currently under development.
Julian Gerighty, Creative Director of Massive Entertainment, went on to state that, “We’re thrilled to announce that we are working on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and that development will be led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Bucharest. The Division 2 will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine that enables us to realize our ambitions for the sequel, but more importantly, we’re also taking everything we learned over the past two years and applying it towards the sequel to make sure we get it right.”
Gerighty then went on to say that the experience garnered from the past two years of the game will be invested into making the sequel better. He stated out that this is due to the feedback of the players who helped improve the first game in many ways.
Gerighty stated out that he and his team are excited to show us what they had in store for The Division 2 this E3, 2018.
See you at E3 2018.
