The Last Guardian has been on development since 2007, then it got showcased at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2009. Sony has teased us at every E3 with trailers of the game, and there were no updates on when The Last Guardian would eventually launch. It skipped a console generation from the PS3 to join in the library of the next-generation console, the PS4.
According to the Game Director of The Last Guardian, Fumito Ueda: “…we have a very specific art style we are aiming for and the PS4 hardware has helped us achieve our goals”. We’ve tried the demo at the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) last October 28 in a closed media test of The Last Guardian, and all I can say is that this game is worth waiting for.
